This machine is designed ruggedly constucted automatic compactor provides a consistent and even degree of compaction, the unit comprising pedestal with laminated Hardwood Block secure to concrete base by 300 mm square x 25 mm thick steel plate. The Rolling Thin Film Oven Test is used to obtain homogenously aged material by application of heat and air in order to simulate these effect in conventional mixing. This oven is double wall construction with following inside dimension 381 mm high, the door has viewing window made of to sheet heat resistant glass. The oven is vented at the top and bottom, symmetric vent have 15 cm². This oven has an air plenum as described in ASTM D2872 specification. It is also the control panel includes electronic temperature regulator with digital display. The oven has built in 305 mm diameter vertical carousel to hold 8 glass sample, orifice has a 1 mm, diameter and connected to 7.6 mm length cooper. Over heat protection fix in instrument.
Cooper Technology’s New Generation Pressure Aging Vessel (CRT-PAV1) uses heated, pressurised air to simulate longterm oxidative aging of asphalt binders. The PAV consist of an ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and CE certified stainless steel pressure vessel, steel cabinet with encased band heaters, and integral pressure measurement control. This state of the art system meets ASTM D6521, AASHTO R28, and EN 14769 requirements and includes a platinum RTD device to ensure accurate temperature resolution and uniformity. A pressure relief valve and high- temperature thermal shut-down are included as standard safety features. A USB port located on the front of the unit allows the user to easily store test data and upgrade software when necessary. The CRT-PAV1 Pressure Aging Vessel uses a Touch-screen controller with front panel user interface for complete control and monitoring of all test processes. The system has an operating pressure range of 2.1 ±0.1mPa and temperature range of 80°—115°C, with resolution of 0.1°C. This easy-to-use system completes a test in three simple steps: 1. set the temperature and pressure 2. insert specimens 3. press the start button The CRT-PAV1 includes a set of ten specimen pans, a precision anodized aluminum sample holder with lifting handle, and a specimen handling tool. Additional pans can be ordered as necessary. Compressed air with a pressure of at least 350psi (2.4MPa) and a regulator must be user provided.
